White Band Day.... mal anders

Folgendes wieder einmal gefunden beim tollen dpa RZ- Ticker.

Matt Damon bumped from his own movie LOL

During the past few years. Jimmy Kimmel has closed nearly every show with an apology to Matt Damon for bumping him due to time constraints.
Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Matt was bumped from his very own Bourne Ultimatum movie trailer.....
Very funny !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love Michael Moore

I just saw Sicko and I loved it. The irony he uses and simply speaking out and making people see, that not everything is as they are being told!
For everyone who hasn't seen Sicko yet..... do it! Entertaining AND shocking!

And I also watched the whole dicussion going on on CNN! He was on two shows... here one clip:

I heard that the Weinstein production company are giving him % of what the movie will make in theaters. This way he can be independent when making his next movie. Great! Even though I am not so keen about the Weinsteins for continuously delaying some of my highly awaited movies.

Mega Movie Marathon Vacation

Because I was forced to stay at home most of the time during my vacation, I decided to spend it with a movie marathon. 18 movies in 14 days.
And of course I rated them. I stared during the most boring movie of them all. LOL
Here they are in order of how good they were.

The really good ones:

Blood Diamond (o.a. for best quote: "I want to be kissed before I get fucked")
Perfume - The Story of a Murderer (o.a. for best on-screen mass gang bang)
Bobby (o.a. for the celebrity cast and the voice over of Kennedy's speech: "Some look for scapegoats, others look for conspiracies, but this much is clear: violence breeds violence, repression brings retaliation, and only a cleansing of our whole society can remove this sickness from our soul.")

The good ones:

The Pursiut of Happyness
Premonition (Sandra Bullock and Julian McMahon are two of my fave actors. And the ending is different.)
The Sentinal (Kiefer rocks! Copy that!)
88 Minutes (The most under appreciated movie of the year, I guess. Even though Al Pacino's in it!)
Derailed (Surprisingly good because of twist in the end.)

The entertaining ones:

Music and Lyrics (Ending unrealistic, but who cares, if it is an ending with Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant kissing)
Next (Nicholas Cage without stupid "wannabe the greatest onscreen hero of all times" attitude)
Because I said so (Nice looking male actors, Loreilei from "Gilmore Girls" and Mandy Moore actually make up for Diane Keaton's over-acting)
A good year ( The "lolita"- song is still stuck in my head!)

The critical ones:

Ocean's 13 (Even Brad, George and Matt can't save it. They just rob a casino, YET AGAIN!)
Borat (Gross, gross, gross... but funny at times)
The Lake House (Even Keanu, Sandra and the other doctor from Nip Tuck can't help the movie to get more interresting)

The truly bad ones:

Underworld 2 (Boom boom, naked sex scenes and.... no, that was all this movie had to offer!)
My Super Ex-Girlfriend (Typical teenie summer movie, but then again with all the sex going on I'm not sure what the audience's age should be. The guy from "The Riches" was funny, though.)
Little Children (Yes, I do know this movie was nominated for Oscars. But I thought it was simply boring! Yes, maybe the acting was good. And you can't compare the intention and message of it to "My Super Ex-Girlfriend", but  with Super Ex I at least didn't desperately try to find something else to do while watching!)

OMG, I killed Wilhelmine

I can't believe it: For 4 fucking days this fly in my room is getting on my nerves. It was flying arround, when I want to sleep. And in the morning it woke me up. I already had given her a name: Wilhelmine. And she so pissed me off. But I was always nice. I don't like killing something. Even if it's a damn annoying fly that drives me crazy.
But today, she really had annoying all over her. Not only, that I slowly started to become totally agressive against her. She also started to challenge me. Like flying directly onto my nose!

So, I did it. I took a heavy envelope, and  went after her. Hit. Wilhelmine's little body fell off the wall onto the floor. I was a little sad, but after one minute she rose from the ashes. Can you belive it? She again flew directly onto my face. Ok, maybe that first hit had made her blind or something, but in this moment I couldn't care less. So this was it, I thought. I hit her again. But she still wasn't dead. So I squeezed an mashed her.
I feel so bad!

Oh my god, I killed Wilhelmine.

But maybe I won't be so annoyed anymore!

Sometimes the movie business is just weird

I just watched the movie "88 minutes" with Al Pacino and Ben McKenzie (you know... the guy from the OC).
And.... it was great! It was the best movie I've seen in a long time.
You haven't heard from it, yet? Well, no wonder. It's not out in Germany or the US. It only came out in Brazil. And there it was released straight on DVD.
I really don't get it! Bad movies like "Spiderman 3" get released at the same time all over the world and make millions of $$$. And then there's a small budget thriller with great actors and all, and it doesn't even get the chance for a wide audience.

Anyway, here is the trailer. If you get the chance to see it.... do so. There's no US release date, yet. In Germany it'll come out on DVD in September.

And because Benjamnin McKenzie is just cute in it, I looked for and found the great interview with him on Conan O'Brian from last year....
